Our aims and objectives are:

1. To create social interaction of artists and institutions to make pursuits of arts and culture more relevant.
2. To create brain pools to advice and guide policy makers and people at large.
3. To provide a platform for young artists to continue their career for the benefit of the society.
4. To attract researchers from abroad to visit India through short term projects to utilise their skills and expertise.
5. To make significant contribution to art and culture in India through local capacity building and increased regional and international cooperation.
6. To educate and train artists and people of interest through research supervision, and organisation of courses, workshops and seminars and facilitation exchange visits with collaborating institutes of similar objectives of national interest around the world.
7. To provide consultancy and services for stakeholders.
8. To inculcate artistic interest among the people.
9. To promote field application for arts and culture.
10. To implement action programmes for conservation of different forms of art, with special emphasis to folklore.
11. To establish centres for the promotion of arts and culture.
12. To carry out and propose solutions to specific problems of the society.
13. To carry out research and development projects with funds from Government, national and international agencies and private sector.
14. To prepare and execute projects and to carry out social activities for the development of living conditions of people with the help and support of Governments and other national and international agencies.
15. To make, adopt, vary, register rules, regulations, byelaws and conditions for the utilisation of the academy for the promotion of activities beneficial to the attainment of the objectives of the academy.
16. To collect funds/raise loans from Members, Financing Institutions, Government and national and international organisations on such terms and conditions as decided by the Executive Committee from time to time for the purpose and objectives of the academy.
17. To receive subscriptions from members and to receive grants from Government, Local bodies and National and International organisations and to receive donations, loans or contributions from members and well-wishers of the academy.
18. To remunerate any person or persons including members of the academy for the services rendered or to be rendered, on terms and conditions decided by the Executive Committee.
19. To promote any other activity in furtherance of the above mentioned objectives of the academy and to do all other lawful acts incidental and conducive to the attainment of the objectives of the academy.
